The National Institutes of Health (NIH) reports that motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death by unintentional injury among teenagers in the United States. That's why B.R.A.K.E.S. (Be Responsible And Keep Everyone Safe), a national defensive driving program founded by drag racing champion Doug Herbert, is dedicated to preparing teens for real-world driving challenges.

Kia has supported the B.R.A.K.E.S. program for 12 years, providing a fleet of vehicles to help expand the program's reach across the country. An independent study from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte shows that B.R.A.K.E.S. graduates are 64% less likely to be involved in a crash within their first three years of driving. Over 150,000 teens and parents have already participated in this life-saving program.

Schedule and registration information for upcoming B.R.A.K.E.S. classes in your local area can be found at www.putonthebrakes.org.
